Il bulbo<\/strong>, negli omonimi termostati<\/strong><\/a>, \u00e8 quella parte del dispositivo che ha il compito di rilevare la temperatura, e per questo \u00e8 chiamato anche sensore<\/strong>. In alcuni casi viene inserito all\u2019interno di una resistenza<\/strong> e per evitare che possa uscire dall\u2019alloggiamento o che all\u2019interno del tubo possa filtrare dell\u2019aria e modificare la temperatura ambiente<\/a><\/strong>, viene sigillato tramite un raccordo filettato detto premistoppa<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Il premistoppa <\/strong>\u00e8 un componente meccanico composto da pi\u00f9 anelli<\/strong>, che, stringendosi intorno a un corpo, impediscono <\/strong>ai gas e ai fluidi di fuoriuscire<\/strong> dalla carcassa senza tuttavia ostacolare un possibile movimento rotatorio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Il termine arriva dal linguaggio marinaro poich\u00e9 cos\u00ec veniva chiamata la camera che separava l\u2019elica, in acqua, dal motore. E per realizzare la tenuta si usava la stoppa<\/strong>, generalmente composta da una poltiglia di grassi animali mischiati con altri materiali, che a sua volta veniva premuta sulle pareti che si volevano isolare tramite due rondelle di rasamento<\/strong> (rosette<\/strong>), e da qui l\u2019uso del nome di \u201cpremi-stoppa<\/em><\/strong>\u201d. Tutt’oggi questo sistema d’isolamento viene chiamato premistoppa<\/strong>, anche se la stoppa non \u00e8 pi\u00f9 utilizzata ma vengono impiegati altri materiali o dispositivi tecnologicamente pi\u00f9 avanzati.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Il premistoppa nei termostati \u00e8 quel componente aggiunto tra bulbo e capillare che garantisce la tenuta dove il bulbo<\/strong>, o il capillare, esce dalla caldaia<\/strong>, dal boiler<\/strong> o dalla tubazione<\/strong>, impedendo cos\u00ec perdite d’acqua<\/strong>, gas<\/strong> o vapore<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fondamentalmente non sono molto diversi dai normali pressacavi elettrici senonch\u00e9 i premistoppa<\/strong> per termostati devono poter resistere, garantendo di mantenere senza danneggiarsi temperatura, pressione e, non ultima la tenuta.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sono tre i principali motivi per cui nel termostato a bulbo viene chiesto di aggiungere un premistoppa<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

 1)<\/strong> Tenuta idraulica:<\/strong> dove il pozzetto del termostato entra nel serbatoio del boiler. Deve tenere 8-10 bar<\/strong> e 90\u00b0C<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2<\/strong>) <\/strong>Tenuta del capillare: <\/strong>blocca il capillare <\/strong>sottile <\/strong>(2-3 mm) senza schiacciarlo e deformarlo, altrimenti il gas interno non si dilata pi\u00f9 e il termostato si stara, o addirittura non scatta.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3)<\/strong> Grado di protezione<\/a>:\u00a0IP44<\/strong> \/ IP55<\/strong>, sulla testa del termostato, per evitare che entri umidit\u00e0 sui contatti.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Invece, una delle caratteristiche fondamentali che si devono conoscere in un premistoppa \u00e8 la filettatura<\/strong>, e sono 4 le principali famiglie:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1) METRICO<\/strong>, Identificato con la lettera \u201cM<\/strong>\u201d seguita da un numero, secondo le direttive EN 60423<\/strong> \u00e8 il pi\u00f9 diffuso e i modelli principali sono:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    \n
  • M12x1.5, M16x1.5, M20x1.5, M25x1.5, M32x1.5<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Passo:\u00a0<\/strong>sempre fine 1.5mm (o 2mm sopra M32)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Tenuta:<\/strong> con O-Ring sul filetto + gommino interno sul cavo<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • IP:<\/strong> IP68 \/ IP69K<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    2) PG – Panzergewinde (DIN 40430)<\/strong>,il vecchio standard tedesco, \u00e8 ancora diffuso ma pi\u00f9 sui pressacavi piuttosto che sui premistoppa<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    • Passo: grosso, non metrico<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Tenuta: IP54 \/ IP65<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

      3) GAS – BSP (ISO 228 \/ ISO 7) <\/strong>soprattutto per tenuta acqua \/ gas quindi tra i pi\u00f9 diffusi sui boiler.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      • Sigla:\u00a0<\/strong>1\/8″ GAS, 1\/4″ GAS, 3\/8″ GAS, 1\/2″ GAS, 3\/4″ GAS<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Per termostati: 1\/2″ GAS e 3\/4″ GAS per pozzetti\u00a0<\/strong>boiler\u00a0<\/strong>e 3\/8″ per capillari<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Materiale:\u00a0<\/strong>prevalentemente in ottone<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

        4) NPT – Americano conico (ANSI B1.20.1) <\/strong>molto raro in Italia, lo si trova solo nei termostati importati dagli USA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

          \n
        • Sigla<\/strong>:<\/strong> 1\/4″ NPT, 3\/8″ NPT, 1\/2″ NPT\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Caratteristica<\/strong>:<\/strong> filetto conico a 60\u00b0, tiene da solo senza guarnizione. Non \u00e8 compatibile con GAS.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Se trovate un premistoppa che non avvita su 1\/2″ GAS, \u00e8 quasi sicuramente NPT<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

          Quando si \u00e8 in fase di progetto bisogna prestare la massima attenzione nella scelta dei componenti e dei materiali.
