In numerose occasioni abbiamo spiegato il funzionamento di questi dispositivi, basato sul diverso <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/rdcomponents.com\/site\/2021\/09\/13\/2-che-cosa-provoca-lapertura-e-la-chiusura-dei-contatti-in-un-dispositivo-bimetallico\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">coefficiente di dilatazione dei metalli<\/a> <\/strong>che compongono il disco bimetallico. E&#8217; ormai noto che il processo di deformazione del disco, che provoca l\u2019apertura dei contatti, e il successivo ritorno alla posizione originale, che porta al <a href=\"https:\/\/rdcomponents.com\/site\/2022\/10\/20\/54-differenziale-e-ripristino\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>ripristino<\/strong><\/a>, viene definito ciclo.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:16px\">Apre e chiude, questo \u00e8 un ciclo. Alcuni produttori nelle schede tecniche usano il termine di OFF e ON. Come per gli interruttori, il primo spegne, quindi si apre il contatto e blocca il passaggio di corrente, il secondo accende, indicando quindi la chiusura del circuito.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"800\" height=\"375\" src=\"https:\/\/rdcomponents.com\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/ProtettoriTermostatiAria.jpg\" alt=\"on\/off\" class=\"wp-image-13703\" srcset=\"https:\/\/rdcomponents.com\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/ProtettoriTermostatiAria.jpg 800w, https:\/\/rdcomponents.com\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/ProtettoriTermostatiAria-300x141.jpg 300w, https:\/\/rdcomponents.com\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/ProtettoriTermostatiAria-768x360.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:16px\">Quando ci si trova di fronte a questa terminologia bisogna prestare molta attenzione. Spesso si \u00e8 portati a confondersi e considerare ON come l\u2019apertura e OFF come la chiusura dei contatti, ma \u00e8 l\u2019esatto opposto.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:16px\">Non dobbiamo scordaci che tutti i tipi di dispositivi bimetallici sono parte di un circuito elettrico, all\u2019interno del quale \u00e8 sempre presente un interruttore che apre e chiude il circuito, e che in questo caso si trova proprio all\u2019interno dei nostri dispositivi. &nbsp;L\u2019interpretazione pi\u00f9 comune nel mondo della protezione termica \u00e8 quella di definire il circuito sulla base della posizione dei contatti, e quindi \u201cAperto o Chiuso\u201d. In realt\u00e0 non \u00e8 per nulla errato considerare il circuito sulla posizione dell\u2019interruttore, vale a dire \u201cAcceso o Spento\u201d e quindi ON e OFF, dove:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:16px\"><strong>ON&nbsp;<\/strong><em>= Acceso = Contatto chiuso<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:16px\"><strong>OFF&nbsp;<\/strong><em>= Spento = Contatto aperto<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:16px\">Facendo un esempio pratico, un termostato bimetallico che interviene aprendo i contatti a 100\u00b0C e si ripristina a 85\u00b0C potr\u00e0 essere descritto nei seguenti modi:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:16px\">Apre a 100\u00b0C e Chiude a 85\u00b0C<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:16px\">ma anche<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:16px\"><strong>OFF&nbsp;<\/strong>100\u00b0C e&nbsp;<strong>ON&nbsp;<\/strong>85\u00b0C<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:16px\">In quest\u2019ultimo caso potremmo avere un\u2019ulteriore possibilit\u00e0 di confusione se prendessimo in esame la scheda tecnica di un termostato bimetallico con i contatti normalmente aperti, anche se la terminologia <strong>ON\/OFF<\/strong> in realt\u00e0 \u00e8 chiarissima:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:16px\"><strong>OFF&nbsp;<\/strong>80\u00b0C e&nbsp;<strong>ON&nbsp;<\/strong>100\u00b0C<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:16px\">Siamo tutti d\u2019accordo?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:15px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">ON\/OFF: le terminologie utilizzate<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:15px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:16px\">Forse sar\u00e0 soggettivo, ma la lingua italiana e la terminologia \u201cAperto\/Chiuso\u201d lasciano, a mio avviso, meno margini di interpretazione, e quindi meno possibilit\u00e0 di errore.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:16px\">Come si accennava prima, la terminologia fin qui descritta \u00e8 quella che incontriamo sulle schede tecniche di un prodotto specifico, l\u00e0 dove i dati riportati fanno riferimento a una esatta esecuzione, pertanto diventa necessario riportare la temperatura d\u2019intervento con la relativa tolleranza, il ripristino e tutte le relative caratteristiche tecniche o costruttive. &nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:16px\">Invece nei cataloghi o nelle schede generiche di presentazione del prodotto, va per la maggiore la terminologia di Switching temperature o, come abbiamo visto in&nbsp;&#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/rdcomponents.com\/site\/2022\/10\/20\/54-differenziale-e-ripristino\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Differenziale e ripristino<\/strong><\/a>\u201d,&nbsp;<em>Normal Switching temperature<\/em>&nbsp;(<strong>NST<\/strong>), i produttori del Far-East invece usano spesso il termine \u201cAction Temperature\u201d ma in tutti questi casi si fa riferimento al range di temperatura che il prodotto \u00e8 in grado di offrire.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:16px\">Concludendo le diverse terminologie, R&amp;D Components, nelle sue schede tecniche ha adottato la dicitura convenzionale di \u201c<em>Temperature nominali<\/em>\u201d per i&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/rdcomponents.com\/site\/protettori-termici\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>protettori termici<\/strong><\/a>&nbsp;e i&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/rdcomponents.com\/site\/termostati-in-aria\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>termostati in aria<\/strong><\/a>, e di \u201c<em>Temperature di lavoro<\/em>\u201d per i&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/rdcomponents.com\/site\/termostati-bimetallici\/#tk24\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Termostati
