Abbiamo trattato questa dinamica <a href=\"https:\/\/rdcomponents.com\/site\/2021\/09\/13\/2-che-cosa-provoca-lapertura-e-la-chiusura-dei-contatti-in-un-dispositivo-bimetallico\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">in questo articolo<\/a>.<br>Come si diceva, il bimetallo si piega per effetto del diverso coefficiente di dilatazione dei metalli che lo compongono e come conseguenza dalla variazione della temperatura. Se l\u2019intervento del termostato avviene durante il funzionamento del dispositivo su cui \u00e8 installato, si parler\u00e0 di ciclo elettrico. Nel caso invece l\u2019intervento avviene in assenza di un azionamento elettrico e di conseguenza con l\u2019apparecchiatura non alimentata dalla corrente, e come unica variante la temperatura ambiente, allora si parler\u00e0 di ciclo meccanico.<br>Provo a fare un esempio. Immaginiamo un qualsiasi elettrodomestico che al suo interno abbia una protezione di tipo bimetallico. Se nel corso della sua operativit\u00e0 si raggiungono le condizioni per l\u2019intervento della protezione bimetallica, allora si parler\u00e0 di <strong><em>ciclo elettrico<\/em><\/strong>. Se invece l\u2019elettrodomestico \u00e8 spento ma si presentano le condizioni affinch\u00e9 la protezione intervenga, ecco che allora si parler\u00e0 di <strong><em>ciclo meccanico<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image is-style-rounded\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1000\" height=\"892\" src=\"https:\/\/rdcomponents.com\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/MATSUO.jpg\" alt=\"cicli\" class=\"wp-image-12491\" style=\"width:650px\" srcset=\"https:\/\/rdcomponents.com\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/MATSUO.jpg 1000w, https:\/\/rdcomponents.com\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/MATSUO-300x268.jpg 300w, https:\/\/rdcomponents.com\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/MATSUO-768x685.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:16px\">Ma \u00e8 cos\u00ec importante fare questa distinzione? \u00c8 realmente possibile che un termostato intervenga solo perch\u00e9 si \u00e8 raggiunta la temperatura ambiente?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:16px\">La risposta \u00e8 s\u00ec, ma bisogna contingentare la situazione. In linea di massima pi\u00f9 le temperature sono alte e minore sar\u00e0 la possibilit\u00e0 che l\u2019ambiente dove sono installate le sicurezze raggiunga tali livelli. Il problema reale, dove entra concretamente in gioco anche il ciclo meccanico, lo abbiamo quando ci troviamo in presenza di basse temperature. Questo soprattutto se il range dovesse coincidere con una temperatura ambiente, diciamo, ad esempio, tra i 10\u00b0C e i 30\u00b0C. Ipotizzate un termostato che interviene a 25\u00b0C, e che sia installato su un\u2019apparecchiatura ad uso domestico. La frequenza con cui la temperatura ambiente fluttuer\u00e0 tra i 20\u00b0C e i 25\u00b0C sar\u00e0 sicuramente molto alta, e la naturale conseguenza sar\u00e0 un numero di cicli meccanici che protratti nel tempo potrebbero sensibilmente ridurre la vita del termostato, e quindi dell\u2019apparecchio.<br>Nonostante ci\u00f2, non sono molti i produttori di termostati che hanno dato la giusta importanza alla quantificazione dei cicli meccanici. Anzi, nella mia esperienza posso dire che l\u2019unico produttore a farlo \u00e8 il nostro partner giapponese MATSUO che produce i <a href=\"https:\/\/rdcomponents.com\/site\/temperature-power-sensors\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">TPS \u2013 Temperature Power Sensors<\/a>, dispositivi che a fronte di 100.000 cicli elettrici, prestazione tutt\u2019altro che trascurabile, possono garantire un minimo di 2 milioni di cicli meccanici.
